HENRY COANDA - Henry Coanda (1886-1972)The most interesting machine, which attracted lots of people, and caused the visitors to gather in a crowd around it, was a red airplane which was missing the propeller; beside it, on a metallic shell, was written: COANDA-1910. This airplane caused the people to be so curious not only because it was missing the propeller, but also because of the fact that it was completely different from what people knew by that time an airplane looked like.

Aeronautics - Henri Coanda - Henri Marie Coanda was the second son of Constantin M. Coanda who had five sons and two daughters. H. Coanda was born in Bucharest, Romania on June 7, 1886. As he later stated he has been attracted by the 'miracle of wind' since he was a boy.

Johnny Weissmuller, Tarzan's Family Tree - According to his genealogy consultant, Sensible System's Johnny J. Weissmuller is the first cousin, twice removed to the late actor "Johnny Weissmuller". "Sensible" Johnny's GRANDFATHER and TARZAN Johnnyb were contemporary first cousins (i.e., sons of brothers). Both were born around the turn of the century (Adam in 1899 and Johnny in 1902 [not 1904])in Timisoara, Romania....

Enescu, George (1881 - 1955) - The greatest of Romanian musicians, George Enescu was equally remarkable as a violinist and as a composer. He contributed significantly to the development of music in his own country, although much of his activity centred on Paris, where he was a pupil of Marsick and for composition of Fauré and Massenet. His violin pupils include Grumiaux, Ferras, Gitlis and Menuhin.
