Central Adjudication Services - An independent adjudicatory body with documents and reports giving legal guidance on the interpretation of social security and child support law.

Money Claim Online - Online small claims requesting facility from the Court Service. Provides a user guide with details and frequently asked questions, a registration form and links.

Legal Services Commission - The official website of the Legal Services Commission, with details of the Community Legal Service and the Criminal Defence Service.

Tribunals Review - The Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine of Lairg, has appointed Sir Andrew Leggatt to undertake a review of tribunals and to report by 31 March 2001. Site provides details of the review.

Council on Tribunals - Supervisory body for legal tribunals and inquiries in England, Scotland and Wales. Provides information about the Council's role, membership and work, and links to related sites.

Privy Council Office - Judicial Committee - Information about the court of final appeal for Commonwealth countries, which have retained the appeal to Her Majesty in Council or, in the case of Republics, to Judicial Committee. Also final appeal court for the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK overseas territories. Also determines "devolution issues" within the UK.

Treasury Solicitor's Department - The Treasury Solicitor's Department is probably the largest in house legal organisation in the country, advising Ministers and Administrators on the widest possible range of legal questions, including questions of domestic, public and private law, and of EU law, international law and human rights.

Civil Justice Council - Remit is to keep the civil justice system under review and consider how to make it more accessible, fair and efficient. The site explains the structure and function of the council and provides a link to the Criminal Procedure Act 1997.

Human Rights Unit - Responsibilities are the Human Rights Act 1998, which incorporates into UK law rights and freedoms guaranteed by the European Convention on Human Rights, and various other Human Rights Treaties. Advice Services Alliance: Advicenow - Brings together information on the law and personal rights. Includes learning materials, case studies, quizzes and topical items.

Commission for Judicial Appointments - The Commission for Judicial Appointments is responsible for reviewing the judicial and Queen's Counsel appointment procedures. Site describes its role, responsibilities, procedures and activities.
